I had problems reading a CD in the computer so I figured I would read it bit by bit the hard way. The picture was taken with a 100X microscope objective and direct projection to a Nikon D2H camera. Some day when I get more time I will work on increasing the resolution further.

The vertical lines are the tracks on the CD. The track to track spacing is 1.6 micro meters, so the dots are about 1 micron in diameter.
A regular strand of hair would completely cover this picture.
